Unusual Whales alternatives: 6 options-flow tools compared (2026)

Six options-flow tools, Unusual Whales included, compared on monthly price, free plan or free days, and data delay, from each product's own pricing page.

The main alternatives to Unusual Whales are Cheddar Flow, FlowAlgo, Bullflow, InsiderFinance, Quant Data and CaymanBot. What separates them is the monthly price (from $24.99 to $149 on the plans listed here), whether there is a free plan or a few free days, how much delay the entry plan carries, and who the product is built for. This post compares six products, Unusual Whales included, using only what each one states on its own pricing page, read between 2026-10-06 and 2026-10-12.

If you are new to the idea, options flow is the stream of individual option trades as they print on the exchanges. All six products show it in some form. They differ in price, delay and what comes alongside the feed.

Each product, from its own page

Unusual Whales

Unusual Whales lists four plans: Free at $0, Retail Basic at $50 a month ($42 billed annually), Retail Pro at $75 ($63 annually) and Retail Max at $120 ($102 annually).1 Its Free plan lets you "see the whole platform delayed 2 trading days," and the page says all paid dashboard and tools plans at Unusual Whales include real-time data. A community Discord is listed on every tier. It fits someone who wants one platform with a free look first and a community attached.

Cheddar Flow

Cheddar Flow's Standard Plan reads "$0 for 7 days," then $85 a month, as of 2026-10-06.2 The facts we read from its page cover the price and the free week, so the table marks the other cells as not stated on its pricing page. It fits someone who wants to try a paid flow product for a week before paying.

FlowAlgo

FlowAlgo's monthly plan starts with "Two Weeks for $37," then $149 a month, auto-renewing, so the first two weeks are paid.3 Quarterly billing comes to $129 a month ($387 every 3 months), and annual billing to $99 a month ($1,188 every 12 months). FlowAlgo lists "Realtime Option Order Flow," and its own footnote says incoming data "may be delayed anywhere from 500ms up to 15s." It fits someone who wants a latency figure stated in the vendor's own words.

Bullflow

Bullflow Basic is $39 a month on the monthly toggle and $396 a year on the yearly toggle, as of 2026-10-06.4 The facts we read from its page cover those two prices, so the table marks free days and data delay as not stated on its pricing page. It fits someone comparing paid flow products mainly on monthly price.

InsiderFinance

InsiderFinance charges $75 monthly, $65 a month billed quarterly ($195) and $55 a month billed annually ($660).5 Its page says "Try before you buy with our free options flow," and InsiderFinance lists Real-Time Options Order Flow on its paid plans. The same page links Trading Courses, a Resource Center and a Finance Glossary. It fits someone who wants course material next to the feed.

Quant Data

Quant Data lists $74.99 a month, or $62.50 a month billed annually, with a button to start 7 free days.6 Its page says Quant Data offers real-time options order flow across all U.S. exchanges, and it states "Non-professionals only." It fits a non-professional who wants exchange-wide coverage and a week to decide.

Where CaymanBot fits

CaymanBot is built for people learning to read options flow. In the first two Learning Mode stages, each trade on the feed comes with a plain-English sentence you can check against the strike, expiry and premium. A $100K paper trading account lets you practice on what you see without real money.

The free plans in the table carry different delays, each stated on its own page. Unusual Whales lists its Free plan as delayed 2 trading days.7 CaymanBot's pricing page states its own delay in one sentence. A free account shows options data delayed 16 minutes (60 minutes without an account).

Premium costs $24.99 a month or $224.99 a year, and it adds real-time options flow for users who complete the OPRA non-professional attestation.8 New accounts start with a 14-day Premium trial. Billed yearly, the monthly figure works out as:

yearly price per month=yearly price12=224.9912=18.75\text{yearly price per month} = \frac{\text{yearly price}}{12} = \frac{224.99}{12} = 18.75

Other products in the table fit some needs better, going by their own pages:

  • If you want a community around the data, Unusual Whales lists a Discord on every tier.
  • If you want structured courses, InsiderFinance's page links Trading Courses, a Resource Center and a Finance Glossary.
  • If you want the vendor's own latency figure in writing, FlowAlgo's footnote gives a range of 500ms up to 15s.
  • If you want exchange-wide coverage stated on the page, Quant Data lists all U.S. exchanges.

Our longer page on Unusual Whales alternatives covers the same ground with more on how CaymanBot handles the free tier, and options flow for beginners walks through the learning path.

How to choose

  • You are still learning what a print means. Look for plain-English explanations on each trade and a paper account to practice on before paying for speed.
  • You need the data as fast as it prints. Check each product's own wording on latency and any eligibility conditions, such as a non-professional requirement.
  • You want to try before paying. Compare the free plans and free days in the table, and note which intro offers are paid.
  • You want to learn alongside other people. Check which products list a community or course material on the pricing page itself.
  • You care about total cost over a year. Compare the billed-yearly column, then confirm the price on the product's page on the day you buy.

Whatever you pick, our guide on how to read options flow explains what the fields on a flow feed mean, so you can judge any of these products on the same terms.

How to practice this

Pick one feature from the table, such as a free plan's delay, and see what it means in practice. Open a free CaymanBot account, turn on Learning Mode, and follow a few trades on the feed with the plain-English sentence next to each one. Then place the same idea in the $100K paper account and watch how the position changes over the following days, with no real money at stake. Current plans are on our pricing page.
